have been looking around for a single cylinder bike thats capable of touring with a little offroad. came across these. they appear to be built in the old husky factory using the frame and engine from the 610. not keen on the wheel sizes 21/18 would have been better.

I think they may have been discussed on here before. The bikes do look nice, particularly the one (can't remember the model) that doesn't seem to be available in this country, typically. The only issue I would have is the spares and dealer backup, but then I suppose that's the deal with any new brand. You pay your money and take your pick...

I had a feeling that would be the case. Nice looking bike, decent spec, bigger tank would be good as would slightly more trail oriented tyres - but I am sure these are addressed either by other variants or the after sales marketplace.

had a test ride on the superduel last week whilst accompanying tim on his way home.
first impressions was of a very nice bike.quality parts and well put together.
it is quite small in stature not at all like the gs or ktm.
engine pulls like a train and i found myself doing silly speeds on bumpy,gravelly "mohecan" lanes. the suspension is top notch and soaked everything up.
two issues for me. the seat to footpeg hight seems a bit tight but that might just be me and the position of the key switch. very hard to get to if wearing gloves.
all in all id give it 8 out of 10.

I like the look of most of the those SWM/Mash models, the basic ones anyway. All in all though if had the money I'd still be buying an earlier JDM CB400SS.

I went to look at MASH before getting the Bullet. The ones I saw at Haywards of Cambridge, unregistered, were rotting where they stood. Spokes, welds round the footpegs and headstock, all looked like something that'd done three or four Elefant rallies without a wash. A great pity, but IMHO the Chinese aren't ready yet. I've given the Enfield the full ACF-50 treatment in the expectation its no better, but starting clear of rot has to be better even if only because they keep the crates dry on the boat.
No idea on SWM, the urge to buy and a dealer 4 miles away got the better of me before I went to see one.

Maybe I'm right with my plan then, if I should I ever be able to afford one.

have finally done the deed and bought said bike. no doubt youll see it around sometime in the future.

Nice one. I'd love to hear what you think. It was on my shopping list but I was drawn in by not having to travel to see the Enfield.
