Title: Trick SRX
Post by: Rossco500 on January 14, 2017, 09:57:08 PM
Not sure if this one has appeared on the site before - was for sale in Classic Superbikes but now sold. Quite a bit of time and money spent on this one!

Aye Steve, is the MM 3½ 'mothballed' or on a plinth in the living room then?  ;)

Radial play in the timing sprocket side, main bearing of the mono was 2 - 4mm!  ::)  Also vertical movement in the big-end, not much but feelable. I should have run it on SAE50, rather than semi-synth 10 - 40!  ;)  Crank away to Slipstream for a strip and price!  :-\

I don't think it'll need crowd funding.  ;D

Will keep an eye open, but my previous record is not a good one when it comes to obtaining these beasties.

Good health, Bill

hi Bill, yes, he feels MM is not up for it, also he wants to take his Son on the back and MM is definitely 'monoposto'
so on the lookout for a reasonably priced unmolested thumper.
I suppose an SZR660 could fit the bill.
pip pip

Aye Steve,

Two up, an XT660, of maybe MZ Bagi', if price is a constraint. SZR is more 'monoposto' than a MM3½!  :'(  Nutcracker!  ;)

My regards, Bill

Nice, that's one for my inspiration board.

Steve, there's this SRX on fleabay, expensive, but looks tidy and had some engine work done.  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1986-Yamaha-SRX600-660cc-Roadster-SILVER-/122239012187?hash=item1c76034d5b:g:RK8AAOSwA3dYM7Wd
