For all you guys I meet today on the stand at The Stafford Bike Show and giving you my wrong profile name as 34081 BB [I think you know who I am]. I would like to say first of all thank you for your kind hospitality ie cups of coffee I seemed to have missed out on the chocy biscuits some where along the way. Anyhow as usual I have got a bad memory for names but Mike aka Moto63 and the rest of you it was a pleasure to meet you and have a chat.
Unfortunately living in the the Sarf East there ain't a lot of Fumper members around here or so I believe so to meet you in the flesh [no pun intended] was a nice thing to talk on a subject close to our hearts.
Keep up the good work you guys it's nice to see dedicated folk, and I hope to meet up with you again soon.
Regards
Mike.
PS Tee shirt fits OK.

I would just like to endorse Old-timers comments even though I was on the stand. My sincere thanks to all who organised, manned, or even just popped by to have a chat with like minded people. I really do have to mention Gareth and Grahame for all their efforts to get the stand in the first place.
"We may not have had the prize winning stand but I'm certain we had the most friendly".
I look forward to next year's meet up.
Thanks once again

I've want to add my thanks to Graham and Gareth for organising everything for us. What a fab weekend!! So much work went into it I take my hat off to you.
Such a friendly and knowledgeable bunch would be impossible to better.
Thank you so much for making this one of the best weekends I have had for a long long time.
Meeting new people from all over and having such a good time was amazing.
Too tired to say any more but thanks to all of you for everything.
Cheers
Richard

Just been talking to Timbo. He is at the side of the M6!
The bolts holding the rear sprocket on have gone!
The AA man had arrived as we spoke. I'm sure he'll keep you guys updated.
Steve
PS I had an equally good weekend at the Ecky Thump rally at Cropton Nth Yorks.
Went into see the 40's weekend at Pickering, some interesting bikes.

As you all said above, was a great weekend, good selection of bikes on the stand which although not "show" standard always get lots of attention, or is that that the down to the well informed chaps on the stand!!!
Good decision not to sell the bike Michael as I think you rally would regret it in the end. Sorry I didn't get chance to say goodbye to Ian, hope you had a good trip home. Thanks to GC for all the help in pulling it all together and all you guys for the effort of bringing your bikes along. Apologies once again Richard for presuming everyone likes a bacon roll!! Not sure whether there would be any interest but we do get invites to a few other shows so when they come through i'll put a post up to gauge interest.
So if not before will hopefully see (most) of you at the annual rally next year.
Gareth

:'( there is always a down side.
Myself, Ifor and Keith had a great weekend as always, great to see the usual crew and others, thanks to Gareth and Graham for getting the stand organised and for the boys with the ability to meet and greet and talk shit with the punters.

Yep, I totally agree with all above. Thanks to everyone involved. Had a fantastic weekend with a bunch of Thumper mates, old and new :)
My first ever visit to the Stafford show, which was nearly too much to take in. Got home Monday night, as planned, but courtesy of the AA :-\
Will post the tale of what happened on the Rants section later. Also, some merchandise left, plus taking more orders. See merchandise thread for details. Still wish I'd bought Marks SRX, but you can't have everything. Jury is still out on sale of Falcone, as I now need to repair it first anyway :-\
-
My mates George and Chris having a close look at Michaels Ikuzawa, which drew a lot of attention to the stand. glad you're keeping it mate ;)
And the absolute antethesis of a Thumper, parked near where we were camped :-\

Crappuccino anyone? :)

Oh thank god the show is over for another year. All that friendliness, humour, chat, free food and interesting bikes. Add to that the sheer joy of a road trip with my brother and a bracing 5km run with Richard Black on Saturday morning, along country roads just after dawn.
I'm glad it's over and now I can get back to ignoring stupid motorcycles for another year.
-
Timbo, I only rode the Guzzi around the car park, it's not my fault!
-
Aye, all that torque what done it :)
Funny thing is, I always reckoned the Guzzi was happy cruising at 50, but a long term Falcone owner, and visitor to our stand, reckoned you can cruise at speeds as high as 60mph! Well, guess what b@@@@@ happened :-\
-
Just to clarify guys. I don't need thanking, Gareth does all the work, drives the van and a makes the sandwiches. All I do is move the bikes around the stand to make them look pretty.

If it's any consolation, I believed him too

Fellow Stafford stand crew, here's that GB500 I was telling you about, complete with hideous fairing.

Ha ha ha ha....no please stop, it still hurts my broken ribs when I laugh so much :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
(A vector fairing if I'm not mistaken??)
-
That nails the argument that no one should take lsd unless all of us do!

I'd almost forgotten how F%^king ugly that fairing was!! :o
Good to hear from you again GC - wish I could have been there, sounds like a good time was had by all!
-
Good God, it's got a King and Queen seat and a b@@dy chair too. Ugh.....
-
Just to clarify guys. I don't need thanking, Gareth does all the work, and a makes the sandwiches.
Yes and can I just say what truly excellent sarni's they were, the bacon ones especially...epic mmmm, mmmm
He'd make someone a good husband ;) ;) ;)
-
Aye, its a hard one, which is worst, the fairing, or the seat :-\
-
Strange to say GC was the only bidder! ;D

ive come a bit late to this topic, but i just want to echo the sentiments of other members here. massive thanks to gareth and graham for organising the stand, getting the bikes together, bringing tables, coffee machine, and drinks kettle, cups etc as well as sandwiches and just being fab company. i dont really know most of you guys as im not that involved with club events, but its always great to meet up with you and just listen to the banter, id rather sit back and observe the world going by than stand out and chat to folk, but its just an absolute pleasure to be there amongst you all. thanks to the lot of you, i look forwards to the stafford show cos its just an interesting event attended in the company of interesting and funny people. cheers chaps, im hoping ive got something actually worthy of showing next time.
-
Your M21 was easily as interesting as anything else I saw over the weekend, in fact, i was discussing it with Tony the Lurker earlier. We definitely had a right mix of bikes on the stand :)
The thing I like about any of our Thumper meet ups, is you can just be as you want to be. There is absolutely no pressure on anyone to pretend, or be something they aren't. If you see what I mean :-\ And long may it continue :)

Aye timbo, and they might give it stick around East Fortune in 2017! ;)
