A Yamaha SDR... never heard of it, or seen one before... beautiful little machine... ok its a stinkwheel... but non the less... a really pretty little machine... was only around (in japan) for a short while 86-87... bit like the srx6... and it seems to have come from the same parts bin... spedo assy, top yolk and forks and wheels , I thought at first that it was a nicely built bitsa, but google shows me it is in fact virtually a perfect 'as it left the factory' example... not a great fan of 2strokes... but I'd certainly happily own one of these.

Hi Steve, I`ve never seen one in the flesh but have seen them on ebay before.....lovely looking things, 200cc, one on ebay at the mo ....

Saw my first one at one of the Monoconnection meets in Holland years ago. Need to rev the nuts of 'em to get going fast but beautifully engineered.
Yep and I was having a look at that one on the ebay the other night!

i remember when they came out and the grey importers started bringing a few in, all the monthly bike press absolutely raved over them, said that if they were official imports they would sell by the shipload. yamaha said no, but the grey importers sold every single one that they brought in.

If Yamaha brought one out now.... admittedly it'd have to have a 4 stroke engine... it would sell like hotcakes I'm sure it would
