If you are squeamish, this video may prove upsetting! At the least it is thought provoking and having been in a similar position at the Bungalow, but managing to take evasive action to avoid the out of control missile coming towards me, there but for fate go I!
Manx_Mountain_collision_video (https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1562744/devastated-mum-of-22-year-old-killed-in-motorbike-crash-releases-horrifying-footage-of-his-final-moments-in-hope-it-will-act-as-a-road-safety-warning-to-others/)
Go canny at the Manx, or any where else for that matter!
Good health, Bill

I'm not watching it, but this young fella was camped just two tents down from me and Alison, at last years Manx. He was a volunteer Marshall. After his death, his van and tent just sat there for days, until his family came to move them. A very grim reminder of what can happen.

Yes, I saw this on the news the other night BUT the impact was pixelled out .... bloody awful :( I remember this happening last year as the road needed resurfacing after the fire...the patch is still there. It saddens you when you see something like this, obviously one rider was going along, on his side of the road, minding his own business, then ........
There was discussions about putting the Mountain Road one way for the MGP (like TT) but I`ve not heard anything since? There will be signs up telling you if it`s one way or two way on the Mountain section so please observe, and if I here anything regarding this I`ll post it on here .... go steady fellas.

OK, just watched it. Young Lewis travelled to the IOM each year on his own, in a van, with his bike in the back. He became a race marshall early on. I didn't get to speak to him, as, tragically, he was killed, not long after we arrived at the campsite. Other people on the site however, had befriended him, and spoke very highly of him. Well done to his mother, who gave permission for this to be shown, and spoke very well. Definitely makes you think.

Evening all.....I finally plucked up the courage to watch the vid having been involved in my own head on 10months ago, fortunately for me I have no memory of my accident......but watching the video really makes one think eh....very, very, very sad. My thoughts genuinely go out to his mother who like Tim says spoke very well indeed. Did the lad on the other bike think it was a one way road??

I think that was the case.
