Title: Hybrid
Post by: Ian on July 21, 2016, 06:38:08 PM
I dont know if anyone has ever seen this bike? It looks quite "normal " in some respects...but look closer and you will see an engine transplant !

Thats nicely done!

I've seen pics of an XBR engine in an AJS (Matchless?) rolling chassis before.

Very subtle Ian and looks the part.  :)

However, this is less subtle and was taken in 2005, I haven't seen the bike or constructer since 2007!  ???

Big Suzuki single in BSA frame with forks from? Quick, as was the rider, handled very well and with a power to weight ratio probably better than the original motor!  ;) Nice down the back roads, up here.

My regards, Bill

It's got to be better than a tweaked C15 engine! And it actually looks quite - well, cobby would be the term used at one time.

Unfortunately the "street fighter" tailpiece totally ruins it  :-\

Hi all, a bit late on the reply, been away on jollies for a few weeks.
DR800 main frame, GS550 swing arm, GS1000 forks, DR750 engine, BSA Firebird tank, Starfire sidepanels and a mix of Suzuki parts to finish.
Dave.

ive got a tweaked 15 engine, its currently running at about 175cc with an oversize triumph 500 twin piston in it and goes like merry hell, revs like a jap two stroke and hoists the front wheel. however, im under no illusion that its anything but a hand grenade with the pin out, but its great fun whilst it lasts.......

i think thats nice, but i cant help but think that it would look better with a pair of spoked wheels.

corrected, i somehow cant edit my old post, but it cut the c off c15 and restricted it to 175cc, lol.

or it could be my fat fingers.
