Title: Riding without a clutch
Post by: JOOLZ on May 28, 2016, 08:52:03 AM
My clutch cable snapped last tuesday and I had to get home, Here is a video of my efforts, thank goodness my carburettor mods allowed it to run at low speeds, idle in first is 5mph, enjoy the video

Just realised you're that Julian Redwood off of YouTube! 😎
Your vids played a part in my decision to go for the XBR which then lead me to this forum, so big thanks from me!

The first time I went to Ireland there was an Irish lad on the campsite who'd snapped his clutch cable.  He knew a bike repairer about 12 miles away who might be able to sort it out so we set off with him in front then at any juctions he'd slow down, I'd shoot off in front and block the road Police style ( quiet roads thankfully) while he shot out of the juction without having to stop. Manage to get him there and get his bike fixed.....I didn't buy much beer that night!!!
