Evening Steve, thanks for the evel kin hell oops I mean kinevel nod. Think I've seen it before but I'll tune in and check it out. Was a big fan (who wasn't??) when I was a kid. My mate used to av one of those evel kin hell wind up toy things....well jealous at the time..cheers, Michael
-
Hey Michael, yeah they were cool 8) I had the EK wind up chopper, not the stunt cycle ..... that kept crashing too :o ;D
-
When you consider that he did all his jumps (well apart from his real early days oh and the Grand Canyon attempt) on what was pretty much a standard harley XR75 you can't help but be impressed can ya?? . Balls like a buffalo, top loony. Cheers, Michael
-
Thanks, Steve :D
-
Watched the evel kin hell program last night Steve, interesting stuff some of it. Especially the early footage...thanks again for the nod...cheers, Michael
-
Recorded it so looking forward to seeing it.

I'll have to catch it on the iPlayer. Totally forgot it was on :(
-
It's worth a watch chaps, some of the stuff you'll already know but quite a lot you probably won't. Top loony that much does become apparent. Cheers, Michael
-
Oh and also pretty brave too 8) 8)

Hey Michael, you`re not wrong....Top Looney / Headtheball and show man ;) I found it good entertainment and interesting, I`m glad I watched it ;) I`ve recorded the program after it....Full Throttle, The Glory Years - looking forward to that too :D

That's my viewing for tonight sorted :)

OK, its not really about bikes, but it is transport related. Documentary on BBC4 the other night about the construction of the Forth Road Bridge, including lots of amateur home cine film never seen before. Great piece of television :)

Evil documentary, great viewing. Mixed thoughts about him though. Actually not, don't care how brave he was, he treated his wife appallingly, so thumbs down from me >:( Unfortuneatly, he behaves like a lot of people at the top of their game, like a complete tosser >:(

Like a complete Hitch - ******* you mean?

Yes Tim I totally agree with you on the way he treated his wife (and some other people by sounds of it) still came away from watching it admiring his resilience and determination
-
Finally watched it and wasn't impressed although did learn some stuff. I hadn't realised he started his jumping career* aboard (or more often not aboard) Nortons and Triumphs.
That "attempt" at leaping the gorge was nonsense from start to finish. Apart from anything else the ramp was far too steep - it should have been at 45 degrees. Unless of course it was an attempt by his crew to do him in.
Agree about his appalling attitude.
*One definition of which is: "Move swiftly and in an uncontrolled way" which seems apt somehow.
