Reminds me a little of the Quasar. Interesting concept but they have never really caught on except to a degree with the feet forward scooters. I doubt they would let them race alongside coventional race bikes as size for size they would be a lot quicker - they banned recumbant bicycles from racing for the same reason.

Wacky! and just too long to go round corners.
it'll never catch on.

Innit just amazing what some people can do with a humble Kwak gpz 500 ;) ;) ;)

Hi Steve.
This one was racing against "normal" bikes. It came second to last.
Just applying what little I know of the science, you'd assume it would carry more speed until it encountered a fast corner. My logic (which may be wrong) being that the smaller frontal area would allow a higher speed, but the very low c of g would need a high lean angle and you're very hindered in your ability to hang off to counter this effect. It certainly looks well over on the photos.
I've never ridden anything like this so I'm speculating.
It's different so I like it. ;D
Cheers
Andy.
