No, but I heard the one where mother Christmas asked Father Christmas what the weather forecast was on Christmas Eve. .... Rain dear.

And down which river are you white water rafting today? ???

Definitely not a day for camping around here! Hope you are warm and dry and that anybody in Cumbria, Yorkshire, Lancashire and Wales is safe and not inundated.

It is lashing down here and has been for most of the day and the monitored rivers around us are all rising quickly on the SEPA website gauging station graphs.

Post by: steveD on December 26, 2015, 09:23:34 PM: Thanks for the heads up Bill but I now intend to set off tomorrow (Sunday) to miss that rainfall that's expected. Will be on Loch Fyne, a place that I've been to before. Will meet up with some others there. Will travel across the Borders and get the ferry from Gourock to Hunters' Quay. That will miss out Glascow!
