Erm.............. GPS again!

Looks better in the pics than actually is but works well, economical and is brilliant to ride. Goes around corners like it's on rails! Brakes brilliant.
All of the kit that I usually carry on the Ten fits on this, ie panniers, tank bag, hand muffs, tent, heated jacket, GPS. Need to clean carb as it bogs down a bit at high revs but will quite happily bang along at 60 - 65 mph at the moment. Did see a GPS speed of 72 on a long straight!
Had a few electrical problems but now fixed, well it is 32 years old!

I'll get a few more rides on it then a full strip and wheel rebuild, paint etc and it will be a real beauty!
(I recon this will be my Dragon bike if my ticket comes!)

Great wee bike. health to use steve :)
Have fun at Llanthony. I'm off to an Irish Sidecar meet, (though not on an outfit), that same weekend in lovely Leitrim, on the banks of the Shannon. Hopefully cadging a spare spot in a Pod, rather than camping, cause im a big girls blouse.
-
Take your tent ya big pufta. I've got another three camping meets this year so far....................and I'm gonna use the little Honda as it's so much fun to ride and I can give the Ten a bit of TLC! :o
-
Steve it looks like I only just missed you last weekend.I was staying at a mates in Goathland just up the road from you.
-
I will have to wait and see on this one !
My Father has just come home from a 5 week stay in Hospital.
A lot better than he was....But still not too grand !
I will see how things go over the next couple of weeks.

Still on then?. I will be coming down with Tony (Calleyne). We're not quite decided on which bikes yet.
He's got one of Sues' rooms! :o
Me .................obviously I will be camping. ;D

Have great wknd fellas. If there wasn't a very expensive stretch of water to cross, I would love to join you. I'm heading for an Irish Sidecar rally in Lietrim, and it looks like its going to be a very wet journey on Friday to get there :( But at least I'm staying in a pod when I get there. Glamping is the new camping ;)
-
Just booked space in a cabin for the Friday night. No space in the bunkhouse and I don't fancy camping. I'll be sharing with someone so bring your earplugs and a bottle of bourbon. Looking forward to catching up with a few people.
The XT is waiting for a hospital appointment so I'll be up on the TDM

Well, how was Llanthony? I had an extremely wet weekend at Biernes of Battlebridge, near Lietrim, but still great craic in a very cosy pub, with good campsite and sleeping pods, on the banks of the Shannon. Good turnout of sidecar outfits, and another potential site for thumpeteers, or anyone visiting the emerald isle :)

Decided to go down on the Tenere (on tjhe Friday) as the weather forecast was not good and I needed to get there fast!
Met Tony just South of Whitchurch and had a dry trip to Llanthony.
Simon and Oz were already there and Indian Tim turned up not long after. Myself, Tim and Simon were camping. Oz and Tony had the cabin.
Mark turned up in his van later on before we went to the pub.
Night at the pub up the road and a good meal, new landlord and landlady, nice fire, cosy warm and then up to the Priory for last orders.
Afters in Simons tent until stupid o clock checking out his lates fires!
Spent the Saturday supping tea after breakfast in the dining room and talking rubbish as the weather was to say the least moist! Oz, Mark and Tim had left just the three of us. The coldest part of the day was in Tony's cabin!
Went back up to the pub for another evening meal and didn't go up to the Llantony pub at all.
Early evening back to the tent and Simon lit his new 'Ammo' box fire. Smashing. We spent the rest of the evening warm as toast, chewing the cud etc and had a rather blustery night again under canvas.
Breakfast again and then the laborious task of dodging the rain to pack up
Rain on the ride home was not such an issue as the wind which was horrific and after larging up the M6, I'd had enough and set the GPS to take me home across contry and got back some 5 hours later just before a torrential downpour.
But..................a great weekend and I'm supposed to be doing it all over again, down to Biddeford to an ABR meet! Wish me luck!
