Title: now was that up or down ?
Post by: spooky on June 09, 2015, 08:30:16 PM
Went out on three of my motorcycles today , (not all at once)  one after the other,  first one`s gearshift  was 1 down 4 up on the left, second one was 1 down and 3 up on the right and the last was 4 down on the left with neutral at the top,  maybe i need an H1 kawasaki to really confuse me   (no missed gears though ! )

I ride a few different set ups but what confused me most was riding my old mans rev and go scooter for mot the other day, what the hell do you do with your feet, I was pulling the rear brake lever and paddling about on the floorboards, looking for what I don't know.  ???

Once saw a guy pull a full on vertical wheelie on one of them big feet forward scooter jobbies, went a fair distance too. It had a full akrapovic system on and sounded very nice to boot. He was Spanish mind and it was Valencia on moto gp weekend. Very impressive non the less

A mate of mine bought one of those Honda NC750s with automatic transmission (not a scooter I know but still a sort of twist and go). He kept telling me how good it was and I should try it. Humbug I thought, I like my clutch lever and it's part of the motorcycling experience changing gear when you think it's right to. Anyway the day came when I couldn't avoid it anymore so tried it. Goodness me I liked it. It actually did feel like riding a 'proper' bike and if I got bored of twist and go there are paddles on the left to change up and down manually. I don't think I'd go as far as buying one but neither would I dismiss it.
