Title: SRX 400 - workshop manual ?
Post by: guest1378 on June 07, 2015, 04:40:31 PM
Almost two years after I should have done it, I've started work on removing my SRX engine from the frame. I managed to shear a couple of the exhaust bolts so I'm going to take the engine in to have those sorted and while I'm at it I'm tempted to take the whole thing apart and get the frame powder coated etc as it's looking too rough to put my nicely painted tank back on it.

I've downloaded a pdf of the workshop manual but the pictures are almost impossible to decipher and a couple of the pages in the section about removing the engine haven't been scanned in properly so I could do with finding a decent copy.  Can anyone point me in the right direction please ? In the meantime, I'm taking lots of photos as I go along to help when I put it back together - it's a long time since I completely took a bike apart so I'm trying to give myself all the help I can get !

The shed-cats are no help at all !!

Aye sfb,

Send me your email address via the Thumper messaging service (wee envelope symbol beneath my 'handle' on the left hand side of the page. I'll send as an email attachment a pdf of the SRX600 workshop manual. Basic jobs like dismantling have the same procedures and orders as the SRX600. Also get a copy of the Clymer XT600/TT600 workshop manual, good clear images of stripdown and the order of parts, which are the same in these motors as well, just beware of the sizes and that some of the torque figures may be different.

Were you aware of this site?: SRX400_UK-SITE (http://srx400.co.uk/)

My regards, Bill
