Title: Float, float on
Post by: Propellor on May 23, 2015, 08:57:06 PM
Float on float on. Do dee do dee do.

Hypothetical.

If I want to set the float height in a carburettor, using a tube up the side, a la manometer fashion, and I decide to use water instead of petrol, how far out will the reading be, due to the difference in density between petrol and water?

Yeah, that's what I reckoned. But there will be a difference, I guess?

Cheers steve

Good advice.

I use petrol, but someone was suggesting to me that using water is fine. Being the skeptic I am, I thought I'd put it to the forum.

Thanks.
