We had a great ride out on the new and improved XBR, Very different to last year, unfortunately it has the turning circle of an oil tanker I have lost a little bit of bottom end power with the big bore pipes new induction system and head but vastly improved mid range and top end, its very poppy bangy on the over run and also bangs between every gear change does sound good though, although tick over is a little erratic due to very low intake speed, pulls to 7500 rpm in top now. It certainly puts a smile on my face

hi joolz happy to hear it went well today, where did you get the big bore pipes thanks tommy

The downpipes were made in Germany I bought them off ebay, they were advertised as clubman race pipes and were for NX650's GB500 and XBR500. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-GB-500-Clubman-Tuning-Krummer-XBR-NX-650-Edelstahl-header-exhaust-NEU-/191130262150?pt=Motorrad_Kraftradteile&hash=item2c80405a86

Hi Joolz,
I'd be v interested to read about what you have done to the XBR in detail. Can you post some details and some pics?
(Or, are they somewhere here in another thread that I've not yet found?)

There are a lot of details in the projects section of this site with photos and technical info of my bike build

Thanks, Found them now. ;) Unfortunately, some of the photos have expired. Is there away to stop this happening?

I just looked and noticed that, I wonder what happened to them. If you are on facebook then join the Thumper club there, you should be able to see the photos and build information, here is also a link to a video for the build.......
