Title: Exhaust headers
Post by: guest1406 on May 15, 2015, 01:31:21 PM
Hi all,

Im on to my exhaust now, headers are done, 2 into one joint is done and can is ready.

I'm in need of steel ring / disk that I can weld to the headers so that the collars, when bolt to the head will pull the whole header air tight. I tried to cut and shape one but it came out bodged, tired to do it a hole saw but they came out way off.

Any suggestions?

Outside diameter measuring 44mm - Inside diameter measuring 33mm

Cheers,

Mackenzie

Aye Mackenzie,

Try this Ebay 'Lot Number': 360659012053

Probably best to contact first afore placing order. Seems cheap compared with time and effort phaffing. OK, OD maybe a bit big, but short of a BIG press, double edged die etc this is going to be the easiest.

Apologies if it raises false hopes.

I used this method this guy uses:

Mine came out like this. A lot smaller of course, i cleaned it up and it looks nicer now

Aye Mackenzie,

That was just a 'light bulb' moment and a poke at Google, "just in case"!  ;)

Pleased to have been of assistance.
