Classy looking sr500 racer on rocket garage blog site if anyone fancies a look. Personally I prefer it without the fairing. Cheers Michael

Agreed, Michael.
A sidewind coming round 'Windy' or anywhere else would prove interesting. ???
My regards, Bill

Yes, very 50s style fairing.
-
Didn't they used to be known as 'dustbin' fairings? I seem to recall some TT piccies from the 50's when they were in vogue.
-
Yes they were called dustbin fairings and that's where they should reside IMHO. They totally spoil the lines of what is usually a lovely looking bike underneath it, granted the sr in ?? Is a "race bike" hence the need for the aerodynamics. Which funny enough leads onto a completely different thread. Which I must say I have enjoyed reading, although it has made my brain ache a fair bit. Oh life can be a drag sometimes :-\

Check out the weird looking old Guzzi fairing with a beak. From the early fifties I think. Not sure.

The one I'm thinking of is the same period and looks similar to the Guzzi.
