Title: Whats an SRX worth?

OK, I'm not actually interested in this bike, but there is an SRX that has been for sale locally for the last few years. I've seen it at loads of autojumbles for sale. The bike looks well sorted, nice paintjob etc, and the current price is 2k Please discuss  :)

Probably true just on rarity value......can't be many left that haven't popped the cylinder head studs and shredded 5th gear... ::) ::)... ;)

Sold my SRX600 3SX monoshock model last autumn with about 60,000 miles on the clock for 1,350 euros.

last one I sold, about 18 months ago, went for £1500... but it was the prettiest and best sorted srx I'd done, sometimes wish I'd kept it and sold my faithful #1

Seriously, a decent XBR is now worth around £1250-£1750 and SRX's are scarcer so I'd guess about £1500-£2000 is probably realistic. The big singles do seem to be getting a bit more popular amongst the Classic buffs these days.

So I've a chance at an SRX600 for £800. It runs, it starts, its scruffy. FZR running gear and a JMC swinging arm. Comments and advice please?

Yes mate, and deliberately forgot about it  :-\  That is until I went to the Carlow show today, and saw it, and started it  :-\
Great day out tho, me and a mate went for a spin down today, 550kms on R routes mostly  :)

howdy timbo I was talking to a guy today who said there was a gb500tt at the Carlow show  for sale you didn't happen to see it did you ,cheers tommy

No, I don't remember seeing one Tommy. Great show though, first time I'd been. Also I lost the number of the guy from Longford who was selling the SRX, which is probably a good thing  :-\
