What bike is it? What type of riding are you doing on it? what does the tyre need to do most (last a long time, high level of grip, be cheap etc.)?

Peeps here will have a better idea how to help with a little more info.   ;)

Hello. my bike is a Sr 250 Yamaha. I'm just looking for a good all-around tire. But I want something that grips real nice. Plus the tires  on the bike are the tires that came with the thing when it was new in 1980. The tread pattern on the front tire follows every little crack in the road. Also I'd like to buy the tire from the local motorcycle dealer here in town
and that's the only tire I can get in that size from them. Thank you. :-* Littlle tricky trying to post on the forum here with my smartphone. You will have to bear with me. 8)

I had one of those. The ICS was ok. Whatever tyre you go for don't forget to take it easy for about 50 miles so the tread area scuffs up a bit. Don't forget  if the tyres are from the 80's the inner tubes may also be that old. Change them too.

Just got some new rubber fitted to my XBR > ContiGo  cost £190 fitted and balanced.

how do you find the Conti's? Got to get a pair for tyres for my XBR, so I would be intrested in how you find them.

Not done a lot of mileage yet so haven't given them a fair appraisal. Was out on wet roads the other day without any issues.

Hi 500TC
I have done about 1000 miles on a new set of ContiGos on my XBR and have not experienced any problems with them. They grip very well though I have not tried them in the wet.
I got them from Black Circles via the internet and they cost £123 plus delivery (about £10). Their service was excellent and the tyres arrived within 24 hours on their standard delivery. Local fitting to loose wheels plus balancing added another £20 so all up costs around the £150 mark.
