Title: Weird
Post by: SRXweb on October 16, 2013, 04:15:45 PM
Weird : did you know that a SRX-6 tried to compete in the "8th Coca Cola 8hrs endurance of Suzuka" in 1985 ?
David OLD and Tatsumi AOKI did not classified on their Yamamoto Racing SRX #17: http://www.motoracing-japan.com/result/spl/858h.html . I'd like to see what it looked like.

Bonjour Raphael,

Lien vers le site YAMAMOTO. Slip-on que des tuyaux d'échappement de nos jours! Mais ils pourraient avoir quelques vieilles photos et les spécifications.

YAMAMOTO (http://www.yamamoto-eng.co.jp/)

Une bonne santé, Bill.

No.... unfortunately.

Someone of Yamamoto Racing answered me that he rode the bike but had neither memories (except she had specific carbs) nor photos of the bike. :-\

I saw that bikeplanet.com launched an appeal on Twitter to have news of David OLD.

I didn't find news of Tatsumi AOKI neither.

I have a magazine article on a Team Ishii bike which claims to have a Yamaha Works SRX engine, details on the engine are rather limited.

Yes, because Sir Alan Cathcart didn't succeed having infos from the engineers !
I love this bike. A kind of muse for my future roadracer bike. If you have photos from the article, I am interested. I have it in german and french.
Team Ishi still exists but they don't know where the bike is  :-[ :-\ :'( :( >:(
They produces frames and bike with motocross engines.

Thanks a lot !

Only one more photo I didn't have : the big 3/4 behind one. And a new article, though it's generally the Sir Cathcart's one.
