Title: srx 600 camshaft bearings
Post by: guest1722 on October 10, 2013, 08:02:38 PM
Here I am back so soon , just started the engine rebuild on my srx 600 and found the alloy bearings machined in the head and the rocker cover have had it , looks like it has been starved of oil , or a bit of crap got in ,and has picked up some metal on the one nearest the cog , anyone out there no where I can get a top end , been trying all over the place but no luck yet  . or can it be repaired without costing the earth , any help would be appreciated many thanks ....nev

I have a number of spare SRX heads. Send me a PM through the site and we can sort something out (Use the Icon (http://www.thumperclub.com/smf/Themes/default/images/im_off.gif)on the left hand side of this post.)

you can get the head/cover line bored and then fit shells.. I think slipstream can do that, but not sure how much, but if the rest of the assembly is ok it would probably be worth it
