When you say it backfires does it just pop once or does it give a series of backfires? How well does it run when it is running?

As for parts I find that ebay is probably the best place although Wemoto will have brake pads etc. What are you looking for?

backfires are usually where the bike is sucking air into the exhaust system. Check for leaks first off.

As for parts Wimoto are OK, but older suzuki parts are sometimes cheaper from Crooks Suzuki. Nice guys and helpful too.

Hope that's a help.

gn has an odd magneto type self generating ignition, do you turn it off with the killswitch or the ignition key?

if it fires when you turn the key off it must be sparking, asi said the gn has a magneto type of self generating ignition, does the bike have a kill switch? if so when you stop the bike with the kill switch does it subsequently fire when you turn the key?

Hi Mike

I started out making a GN400 bobber but as I am the messiest worker in the world it became a rat bike instead. I've made all the little brackets and spacers myself which has been really satisfying.

What parts are you looking for?
