Come on chaps, it's summer, it's warm and dry and most of us, I'm sure, have been out on our bikes this weekend.
Let's have some updates and ride reports.
Unfortunately I can't start because I had a real family weekend. On Friday I went to my daughter's art college foundation show. Saturday I spent time with my eldest boy and on sunday we all went for a family walk near Swansea with a walking group. We walked overland to Caswell Bay from the Mumbles and then back along the coastal path via Langland. This is a very pretty part of the world and I often forget that it's only an hour's drive (or ride) from home. We'll be coming back a lot this summer I think.

Whilst I was at Caswell Bay I talked to the owners of two very lovely Harley customs and, would you believe it, they knew TCer Mark. Small world, biking, eh?

Biking?? Nah I only seem to do that to get to the office :-\
Mind you, at least the office was sunny on Saturday 8)

It seems that global warming on earth is a reality : it's sunny in England and rainy in France ;)
-
Are you aiming rainbullets to France ??
-
lol no, just blowing holes in Northern England! :o

My weekend was spent in Saundersfoot with #2 son and his rugby club's end of season party. Pop fuelled kids do not lead to a relaxing time! Still weather was great for camping.
Did get to finish the last fabrication job on the project bike before I went, which was good. Now it's strip down and prep for powder coating. ;D

I spent Sat AM with a migraine and or some sort of bug. PM was a greek orthodox wedding and then Sunday's work started at eight and finished at seven followed by a 50th party in Lampeter. I did take the T4 to the party - I love that bike!! Oh yea!!

Now that's what I call a single cylinder banger ;)

Lol, and it'll do up to 6rpm as well! ;-)

I think the running costs and legal requirements may be excessive? Not covered by a shot gun license?

Very impressed with the Wee. 480 miles round trip, 68 to the gallon, only had to stop for fuel once and still fit for dog walking and the pub when I got back. The only downside is that the thing is just too happy at speed, doing 50 in a 50 limit takes more concentration that letting it shoot off at 75. They should make a 400 or 350 single, but it won't happen.

Just got back from 10 days on the Catalan side of the Pyrenese near Ripoll, attended Austin Vinces Twinshock Trailfinder event.
Apart from all the MT rider teams there were some interesting bikes, a nice Triumph 500 twin, A Morini 500, an old Husky along with some XTs, XRs, XLs and some small old DTs.
Attendees included a bike mag editor and a photographer for Bike so can expect a write up in the Sept issue.
Again had some heavy rain there as Wales basked in sunshine.

Ah, just found out you were speaking to Mike and his wife Julie, he does create some lovely machines, he's a Cardiff boy and you probably know the same biking people.

Yep, he grew up with the bikers I sometimes drink with. He was very proud to show off his United Bikers tattoo.
Not many people can make their own set of springer forks, talented lad.
