Good news is that both boys want to go. Best get Rowans 125 going asap then.
Is it me or is the Dragon growing in popularity ?

Which will sadly involve a new rear crank seal, some rewiring etc.
Ideal solution mind.

I put it down to the mild climate in recent years.
In order to make it more challenging, I will be riding naked to the rally.

Rally Tickets have now sold out according to the website - I couldn't afford them until my pay came in yesterday so it looks as though I won't be there this year then.

Oh, that'll mean that there is a carpark at the bottom and a 3 mile uphill walk to the campsite - you need to be fit to carry all your own gear to the campsite ...yes that is what they'll be driving at.
-
mine arrived this morning 0662 +0663 ;D i nearly got 666 ;D
-
.......doesn't mention about mentally daft! :o
That's taken as read for the Dragon...
-
Got mine today. Which is a little odd seeing as I've sold my bike, all my bike gear* and all my camping gear. What the phuk was I thinking? But I'm sure between now and then, assuming that some leaden Arabic bureaucrat doesn't suddenly awaken from his slumbers and I'm dragged kicking and screaming to warmer parts, I will be able to blag all the requisite bits!

When an inverterant blagger such as myself posts such an outrageous request and gets two very welcomed replies it makes me realise why I like this club so much. Although our paths only rarely cross, and truth be told we don't really know each other that well, there are several members I would class as real mates who can always be relied upon to offer assistance, piss taking, or usually both.
Thanks so much for your generous offers which, depending on how things pan out over the next week work wise, I will serious consider taking you up on.

The other day I gave my gaffer his ticket for the 2013 Dragon, having successfully
conned persuaded him to attend after 3 years of trying. He's a long term motorcyclist (there's no cure) and used to attend the Dragon during the 60's and 70's so he tells me, but hasn't attended for a few years since he went along, spent the day not finding faces that he knew and eventually gave up ad went to bed at around 7.30pm :-\ I have succeeded in getting him to come along on the basis that he'll at least know me, and I usually team up with whichever other habitual offenders I know and can locate (don't we all?) When giving him the ticket I mentioned that final instructions for the check-in will be sent out a week or two beforehand, and he recalls that this is how it's done. I suggested that this was in order to keep the riff-raff out whereas he feels that the reason is actually so as to keep the riff-raff in!

I will serious consider taking you up The ........
Boyd
Up Where !!?????

Prep is under way for Dragon then. One month to go. Leave booked as is Friday night in Betws. XBR to have fettle, new rear brake shoes then off for mot at Jethros place.
I am actually quite excited about this run. Plans for fitting panniers may have to be shelved, due to time.
How are others getting on?
Rob.
-
As it stands at the moment my 'plans' consist of:
HELMET Check
BOOTS Check
TICKET Check
EVERYTHING ELSE MOSTLY SOLD/GIVEN AWAY Check
Not even sure yet if I'll make it but it would be a shame to miss possibly my last one! We'll see.......

Check point details have arrived, Jethro will be happy he had a bit of a soft spot for the young girls in the cafe, wonder if they still work there, they must be 40+ now! Sorry Jethro.
Same site as last year, Simon won't be happy, he's done all of the caches in the area!
See you all in a few weeks.

Went out and about today. Over Storey Arms, Sennybridge, Llandovery to Builth then back to Brecon via Upper Chapel. Light dusting of snow in most places. Ideal Dragon weather.
If only the Dragon was this week end............
