Title: Big Bore kits for Honda XBR500

 Would like to see if ther are still big bore kits for the Honda XBR500?  I am restoring one and making it into a cafe racer and would like a bit more power. Ant help would be appreciated

Easiest way is to fit an XL600 barrel /piston.

Yes XL600R barrel and piston, very easy swap, I have just done it. Make sure the barrel has 589 stamped on the side as other xl600 barrels have a different bore and I think the height is different

I didnt have to on mine, 1987 model, but I have heard that very early XBR's you have to open the cases

I had to open up the crankcase mouths on my 85.
