Hi guys, still looking for an outfit, and came across this on Fleabay.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/dr650-se-sidecar-side-car-outfit-dr650se-/320853088575?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=auc4ab455993f
Any help or advice would be good, worth a look/easy fix? What is it worth as it is? Too much trouble, dont touch it with a bargpole? Your thoughts and comments are always welcome, (constructive or not (Boyd??))

If it's well set up it would be a great rally outfit. Top speed would probably be limited to 60mph for comfort, but fuel wouldn't be too bad (late 40s, early 50s?).
I think it's a Velorex chair but I'm not sure it's a Velorex chassis. Looks neat enough, although it would be good to see some pictures of the fittings.
The biggest problem is getting an engine. Gareth had all sorts of trouble with his. You'd have to budget £300 at least for a motor (unless it's an easy fix).
The wheel conversion looks nice though eh?
A chair already fitted is (generally) a whole lot less hassle than fitting one from scratch, but careful ebaying can snag you a bike, a chair and fittings for buttons. Gareth's ER5 outfit cost him just over £800 in total (although it took some time and fabrication to get it all to mate up).

Hi Crusty
Not a bad word to say against it! I even toyed with the idea of buying it myself but haven't really got the time/money/inclination at present. If the engine problem is a 'relative' easy fix could be a good buy. I suspect the price will rise nearer to the end and that will certainly be a factor- "no bang for your bck at the moment!".
Good Luck
Boyd
PS Could obviously start a whole new episode of "Luggage Wars" with SteveD needing to get a tow hitch and trailer tent for the XTZ660 pronto. "Now look what you've started!" :D
