Quiet weekend but did manage a ride on my brother's ER5/Squire sidecar outfit yesterday. It was good being out on a rig again and it was no time at all before the hooligan in me came out with the chair wheel being wafted in the air as often as it could be. My recently spacious garage is now full again with the outfit in there alongside my project XBR on the bench.
Very quiet night last night other than a blistering row with SWMBO, but as I was (for once) in the right this was soon settled (in her favour of course).
Today my eldest son and I joined a local walking group for one of their child-suitable walks, a five mile trek up the Garth mountain. We're all a bit tired now.

Nothing much happened yesterday, lazy start with the Telegraph followed by coffee, followed by walk into town, followed by brunch.. Went to pub for dinner, three pints of FF stout (nice) followed by bad head this morning.
Today was busy, 09.00 followed by the 09.45, followed by the 11.00 followed by the 14.00. I call this sequence of services back to back, because there is no real recovery time between them.
After the two I took the yellow peril (MZ ETS 150) over the Keith's house to see his progress on the Dragon bike but he was not home. As I left Aberaeron some clever individual thought it would be cute to tail gate the little tiddler, except I have not given her a hot run for ages so there was considerable oil and carbon built up, the more he pushed the harder I rode, the hotter she got the more smoke she blew, till in the end, it must have been like following the Bismarck, suffice to say he backed off. Well I assume he did, I lost sight of him in the haze.
Got home and hadn't had enough so took eldest son up to local garage for ginger beer and crisps (about 8 miles each way) Managed a couple of overtakes including a double, not bad on these roads with a pillion and a bike which tops out at 60 and no brakes.
Knackered now, off to Heathrow tomorrow, there and back again in a day, as my parents are off back to OZ.

To be fair, that does sound like a grand old day.

Working weekend, spoiled by cr*p management from above making it nearly impossible to achieve our planned objectives on the first part of a course we're teaching >:( followed by them insisting on the Saturday we all do a fitness assessment (which most of us were not required to redo) which further impacted on teaching the course. Then on Sunday another assessment (this one I was due to do, but still aching from Saturday wasn't a good start! Passed mind you, so the annual bonus is guaranteed ;D).
Finished late yesterday and it was bath followed by bed for twelve hours straight unconscious! :o
At least I had the chance to put my opinions to my direct boss yesterday (who is in agreement with me and at a high enough level to change things 8) )
Now I'm working a "compressed" week, this is still the weekend, 8) so today's plan is lots of washing of gear from the weekend and into the garage to see if I can finish sorting the clutch/brakes on the Landy, and work out what container I can put knackered petrol into, to then give me the problem of what to do with it! ::)
But first... a cuppa ;D

Took myself off for a 12 mile hike to a local wind turbine farm over some very boggy ground on Saturday. Nice picnic under the shelter of a dry stone wall sipping hot tea from my thermos. Home for a hot bath and more tea before settling down with my book.
Sunday was lazy day. Dog walked by 6:00, cooked breakfast (eggs) and Match of the day till 9:00. Dropped off son at rugby before doing the shopping, then an afternoon playing in the shed. Bike washed and made a start on some BBQ utensils I'm going to make for my camping BBQ kit. After the quality shed time came in to make a huge pot of spicy sausage casserole which was scoffed with heaps of creamy mash and piles of leaks & carrots. Evening of telly, wine and nibbles in the company of wifey.
Lovely.
