Title: srx valve adjustment timing marks

could anyone confirm the method of checking valve clearances manual says to find the T mark on the crank line up with dot and check intake and outlet valve gaps...i would have thought there should be a differnent mark to line up for the exhaust valves have never heard of checking valve clearences by the same mark before many thanks

The same mark is used for setting intake and exhaust. Its TDC on the compression stroke so the valves are both closed at this point.

thanks steve got it sorted earlier today enigne sounding much better and just havin to go through the running in period now... do you have any advice on running in engine after rebore ?
