Title: XBR Cam chain dodge
Post by: guest1405 on December 27, 2011, 01:08:55 PM
Looks like I have got to take a look at my cam chain and tensioner on my '87 XBR.  The manual says I need to remove the engine to do this, presumably because of the one bolt which doesn't have room to come out between engine and frame. I suppose there isn't any dodge that anyone knows of which would allow me to get this bolt out without removing the engine?

You dont need to remove your engine to change the cam chain. To remove the rocker cover pull up that long central bolt untill it touches the frame then lift the rocker cover and pull to the side.
