Title: XBR Brake Lever

Hi, currently got a problem with my front brake lever....way too much travel (can actually touch the bar), tried flushing new fluid through the system, replaced master cylinder seals, and un-seized the calliper sliders....brake works fine, but because of this, it's an MOT failure...thanks in advance for any suggestions...

hi are you still using the orginal brake line maybe a braided line might improve it ...........tommy

I had a similiar problem on a CB250RS, the caliper seized and as a result the pads ended up wearing with a slight taper on them. No amount of bleeding would solve the issue but one new set of pads later it was perfect. Might be worth considering if the caliper has seized recently.

Have you tried sucking (not lterally but with  large nylon syringe or similar) the brake fluid through....just in case of an air lock....

Try tying the lever back against the bar and leaving it overnight. Perhaps tap the end of the bar a few times while it's tied back. It lets any stubborn air bubbles float up into the reservoir. As Tommy said, if your hose is getting a bit elderly, swapping it out for a braided job can make a big improvement.
