This maybe old hat to the Welsh contingent, but I think that it is a cracking site, which has vast amounts of local folklaw, history, images and maps. Grand stuff for the industrial archeology and social history, if your interested.
Old Merthyr Tydfil (http://www.alangeorge.co.uk/index.htm)
My regards, Bill.

Great Stuff Bill, I used to teach in Troedyrhiw with Josh Powell, we all clubbed together to pay for the publication of the books "The History of Merthyr Tydfil" and Josh's book "Living in the clouds". They are both definitive works documenting life during the industrial revolution in Welsh industrial small towns. PM me if you want a read of either.
