Now normally I am wholly in favour of attractive French (or Italian) ministers, but the second item down in the attached link has rather put me off this one.

Leeds Council are anti-personal transport (although Party Bosses and other officials at the Leeds Kremlin get free parking spaces). I have a simple solution, I never go there. I'm not the only one as the city centre is simply dieing. When it's dead they might realise that free parking and no stupid restrictions on what method of transport you are allowed to use works for the out of town places I do go to.

I propose that you contact Madam, and take her for spin through Normandy on your throbbing twin. By the end of the weekend she will no doubt be a devoted advocate of motorcycles and L'anglais

My twin hasn't been doing nearly so much throbbing recently, not since I tightened my loose nuts anyway.

I agree, she looks pretty hot, but I have managed to keep control of my faculties and think she needs removing from office for proffering such tripe.
It is disgraceful that Westminster City Council want to introduce this levy against bikes.
I grow more weary of this country each day with the proliferation of stupid laws and restrictions against the common man. Eek, this is almost the start of a rant...

Richard,
You really are a Hero Member ;)
Not only bikes are concerned by the project in France, but every vehicules. The mayor of Clermont Ferrand refused his city to be enrolled in the list of concerned cities. It's in Auvergne, in the centre of France, where GP of Charade took place. The council of Auvergne made big efforts to welcome bikers (see www.auvergne-moto.fr (http://www.auvergne-moto.fr)) and the place is really worthy (?) for riding a motorbike.
... actually I don't work for the Council of Auvergne but it si so rare to find people interested in welcoming bikers.
For the moment, Clermont Ferrand is the only city that refused the project.
