Title: Computer question
Post by: guest146 on March 13, 2011, 06:11:18 PM
I know we have some computer expertson here so would you read this please

I am getting realy p......d of with my PC I have been trying for two days to make a listing on Ebay. I can type in the item but when I go to load my picture I click the icon to search for my picture and it darkens the icon so it has found it but nothing happens. I have had this on  Yahoo Mail when I click on contacts nothing happens.  Do you think it could be a connection problem as we are only on about 900kb here. It cant be the mouse as it  alters the icon when clicked so it has found it.

Regards Ken

Ebay picture loading is a pita depending on what browser you are using. I had to move over to using Firefox instead of Opera because pics just wouldn't load. Internet Explorer seems to be Ebay's favoured option, but Ebay doesn't support older versions of IE.

Try swapping between the two options for loading pics. My Mac (using Firefox) won't load using the 'basic' pics option but does work with the standard option.

I'm using IE8. I can upload pics to Ebay but it takes aaaaaaaaages. Try leaving it a while. Go and make a brew or swim the channel or whatever and see if it eventually goes. It can be a bit of a pain if you're trying to list 30 items though.

The most convenient way I've found to list stuff is to download Turbo Lister from the Ebay site. It's free. It lets you create all your listings offline then you can connect to Ebay and it uploads it all in one go. It's very useful for multiple listings.

Here's a link if you want to try it...
