I had a link sent to me that has some very intersting outfits on it and also some unusual bikes.

Cheers for that. This one is a good example of how to mess up a good chair:

If it was on a proper big wheel chassis it would look fantastic, but with the smaller wheel (and plastic trailer mudguard!) it looks all wrong.

Probably a nice outfit though.

A Watsonian Avon, this is what I have bought to fit onto my M21. ;D

Watsonian actually made this chair with a small wheel and Monaco type mudguard,  With the VG21 chassis with wobbly wheel suspension it made my first outfit attached to a 1935 Rudge Ulster.  with a 19 inch wheel and hand painted body.

Last weekend my brother picked up a Watsonian 'Silk' chassis and a Busmar (I think) chassis - it's the one with the two parallel flat bars that the fittings can slide up and down before clamping into place.

He bought two chassis to get his hands on the associated pile of fittings.

He's being cagey about his plans, but if it's half as good as the Briggs he restored it will be worth seeing.

Oh goody, I may have the correct chassis with it. I don't know 'Monaco' but it has a snail type mudguard is this the same thing?

yes that's the one still being sold today if you buy a Watsonian with a 10" wheel.  The Avon is well provided for with spares as Charnwood list many new parts like hoods and screens, at a price!  Just watch out for woodworm :(

Yeah all the wood is shot, got to rebuild it when I get the time.

There's a nice picture of the Avon in the Jo Axon book on sidecars, with the body on a big wheel VG chassis.

is that an s7 its attached to by any chance ;D
