The one advantage Hagon bleat on about their shocks is that they are completely "rebuildable" sp? Has anyone had any experience of doing this or is it just selling hype? Any information gladly accepted

I think they mean they can rebuild them for you. Having over capitalised virtually every bike I've ever owned - I have on the occasions I have dealt with them found them to be a very decent operation.

They certainly come apart - though I didn't have to do it when I had mine. Hagons certainly rebuild them for you and they can supply different spring rates for your needs. My only gripe with them was that the chrome on the springs and damper rods did seem to start rusting up pretty easily considering they were for outdoor motorcycle use. Nothing bad, it would clean off ok, but if you ever had to leave in standing for a while it might be a problem. Also I thought the standard springs supplied on their XBR shocks were a little soft....and no I'm not that heavy!

A good company, I think. Rebuilt my R100R's monoshock for about £100. Very quick, too. Martin

They're pretty good at supplying higher rate springs if required, they supplied a heavier set of springs for my sidecar outfit to replace the solo-spec springs
