Aye know this may sound a bit morbid, but after losing a member of the family and quite a few others close by, I listened to Jim Perrin on Radio Scotland one Sunday morning. Talked about life, climbing, writing, loss of wife and son and now living with terminal cancer.
Has written a book titled 'West'. Jim Perrin, ISBN: 978 1 84354 611 5 which maybe his last.
Much of the book is set in Wales and I think many of us on the forum will find it thought provoking, even controversial. Get a copy from the 'local' library if you can, find a comfy chair, a wee dram and see how you go. It's not 'light', but has, I think, an 'easy' style.
Slainte, Bill.

Cheers for the book recommendation, I'll give it a go.
I read a whole book last Friday in waiting rooms. First thing in the morning I went in to see my doctor about some chest pains that I've had and ended up in an ambulance being carted off to be assessed. Luckily I had taken along a novel (E M Forster 'Where Angels Fear to Tread' if you're interested) and over the course of the whole bloody day I read it from cover to cover, including a very dull foreword.
Not a bad book and as a bonus thankfully my pains don't appear to be related to a cardiac problem.

Aye GC,
Worry and nout to do with the ticker. It's that old chilling thing again.
I thought you might give it a go. I have another in mind, but will wait patiently for the bite. Or hear nothing and take no worry. ;D
Go canny and blow raspberries with the kids. Bill.
