Took my eldest boy (12yo) pillion to Aberaeron this afternnoon on the MZ, that's the ETZ250/301 2T as opposed to the Skorpion. Pleasant run down, coffee and a cake, mooched about and then a fastish return trip. Amused myself by crouching down a' la american flat track on the long straight. Once the boy felt the wind blast he tucked in too and we wound the old girl out the stop. There was a lot of old brit iron bimbling about by they didn't see us for long. We even managed to fend off a BMW oilhead over the last few miles - kicked his west german ******* you might say. What a hoot especially as he had passed us when stationary on the coast without a look or wave. But when we called into the local motor factors back in Lampeter you better believe he took a second look. LOL
MZs for ever baby and a big thank you to the late Mr K and our very own very much here and now - Mr K!

Can't beat a good howl on an MZ. I get to do it 5 days a week, almost makes it worth going to work!

She is going splendidly old boy. They are truly incomparable. She has a slight rattle just off idle but that I am now convinced is just the carb slide doing its own thing. Will watch the consumption and see. The new silencer has given her more wizz than before and a real crackle which you didn't get with the other one ;D
My placement this year is in Carmarthen so a nice forty mile round trip this Sunday for the Guzzi and then another in the PM on the Zed - this time solo. I was wizzing over windy corner when I spotted two figures standing in a layby next to a bonnet raised car. I suspect Mr Marshall will be on the lookout for Trabant in the near future - we all know it makes sense!!
