Probably the shortest pursuits in Police history.  Just had to run the ten miles until it had to stop for petrol.

Que picture of Triumph/BMW wedged between bollards, or the one the London plod got stuck in concrete.

I'm saying nothing though, as at least one person here abouts knows the tale of the ERF TL and a rather short joy ride.

I remember a few years ago seeing a Police Fireblade in full Traffic colours.
Pretty sure it was on display at the Builth Wells Show.

My advanced course was taught by police riders, I wouldn't want to try and outride one of 'em whether on a Beemer or an R1, they were all blindingly fast without looking like they were trying.

I don't know the tale about the ERF TL...

Same here #1, It was when I attended my course that i recognised the mad bu55ers populating the fast group at snetterton track days,
excellent riders to a man......and more importantly....bluddy nice blokes.

Was chased on a IAM day by a plod on a CB200 Benley, I was on the RD500 - no worries about out running him on the straights, but the sight (in the mirrors) of a two wheel drifting, everything sparking manic grinning loon following me through the twisties was a wonder - when he was leading the group you really had to concentrate to keep up, and be as smooth.

We took one for a joy ride and found an interesting design flaw. If you run it out of Diesel you need to prime the fuel pump. To do this you need to tip the cab. To tip the cab you need to lift the ladder. To lift the ladder you need to run the engine. To run the engine you need Diesel.....  :-[
