Hi Guys,
My name is Jude, and I own a red Jap import SRX600.
It's actually on the features page of the Thumper club home page !
I've still got after all theses years and it looks as lovely as it always did.
I used to live in Huddersfield, but I'm now near Alfreton in Derbyshire.
The bike had its 20th birthday in February and has just under 45000 miles on the clock. It's never had any engine work done, infact the head has never even been off it, and it is still as strong as an ox !
my local stomping ground is Matlock bath... so if you see the bike... come and say hello !

What is this "Shiney" of which you speak ??? ;D Is this related to the fabled "washing of the bike" ???

I also live near Alfreton, and ride an SRX (400 in my case). I can also be found in Matlock Bath most Sunday mornings 8).
I'll keep an eye out for that one of yours Jude, but I must admit I've not seen it yet. Even at my age, I think I would have remembered. ;D
Welcome to the madhouse!

Thanks for the rapid response Jude.
And wow!!!! the bike reallly does you credit and it being one of the (later) Monoshock 600s its quite a rarebird indeed. Im very envious of the job you did and obviously keep doing...its absolutely superb. As you can see it knocks mine into a co cked hat :(. I would have used a monoshock frame in my project but I found parts so difficult to get hold of for them so I did the difficult thing and used a twin shock frame as I had a few parts lying around here anyway. I actually started with the front mudguard off ebay for £6 and then built it from there. I had a lot of help from a lot of people and wouldnt have done the job without them. I hope to see your bike in the flesh so to speak sometime this year hopefully and maybe get some tips off you
Safe riding
Ian :)

Hi there Judy, good to see you've still got that fantastic bike. I remember us riding to Aberdare Park races and your bike drawing the most attention amongst a sea of 1,000 sportsbikes.
All the best
