Title: Thumpers in the comic this week.
Post by: guest27 on December 14, 2006, 08:40:02 PM
Just been reading the two bits about the CCM cafe racer - looks nice enough needs sorting, and the Forsyth 600 Mito.  Now I have to say that if I had a spare £3k I would be on the phone.  Looks real nice and just what the Dr ordered - mind interested why it vibrates so much - or is it just a journo used to sewing machine 4s...

Yes the big deal on the vibration is a bit of a mystery.....basically the same as the srx, complete with counterbalence shaft, and in the same chassis as my track bike, which, for the record is very smooth. My feeling is, that the xt lump has been 'tuned' i.e. carillo rod and lighter piston etc, thus the vibes would actually be coming form the counterbalence shaft which is now over compensating.....good theory....probably a load of bo77ocks, come to think of it, my track bike has a carillo rod..........i'll get my coat
