Title: Bad news - DR Stolen in Edinburgh
Post by: guest18 on March 19, 2010, 05:15:02 PM
Some of you will know Transalp John,
Well until yesterday he had a scruffy blue and white DR600, then sometime during the day while he was working for a living some worthless lowlife oxygen thieving scum removed it from the drive where it was awaiting work ready for the summer  >:(

So if anyone around the Edinburgh neck of the woods hears of, or sees such a DR600, especially one with a siezed rear brake or indeed a reg plate with E37 ASM on it I'd be really very grateful if you could alert me or John or the Police to it as soon as.

I know it's not that likely, it'll probably get ragged around a bing then thrown in a quarry/the sea somewhere but you never know  >:(

I really, really can't stand bike thieves  >:(  I just cannot express how angry and disgusted I am just now, I really can't.

Aye Smudge,

I'll speak with local dealers up here.

Fingers crossed.

Bill.

Bunch of cunts. Sorry to hear, I keep an eye on ebay for DR600 parts, so will let you know if I see anything new pop up.

I had a DR650 stolen from outside my house as we were having a party, I went to bed a 3am and got up at 5am to go to work and in those 2 hours two scumbags had taken it.
The local police told me an early morning cleaning lady had seen two boys known to her pushing it towards the woods where the police found it wrecked at the bottom of a steep incline, they had not been able to start it (kickstart only)
The police did not want to help as it was only a motorcycle and would not take it further because it was her word against that of the two scumbags.

Aww, sorry to see this again.

Always worth a look round back of Jack Kane Centre, or bings opposite, or Innocent railway cycle path and eastwards to Bing'am Innit.

Have spotted one of my nicked bikes (v nice 250 RS) being ridden 2 up behind JK Centre. Police attending 'couldn't do anything' and I was strongly warned off returning with friends and long rope...
Bike found, torched, same place 4 days later (had slipped chain apparently so bonfire time).

But you might be luckier!  Fingers crossed. Fuckers.
