That is nice

MARYMOTHEROFGOD! I need that bike sooo bad.
See, didn't I tell you that the 70s Yam tank design was cool ;) :D

Maybe GC,
But all that plumbing and extra complication, nah, the old air-cooled when it first came out was rather good. XT600 or XT600E motor in there would be preferable I think.
Toodle pip, Bill.

Having ridden Simon M's Ténéré I have to say that the latest incarnation of the Yam 660 is a blinder to ride. I'm normally not a fan of complicated motorcycles, but it is a great bike.

So how big is the tank ?

Even smaller when you shoe horn the fuel pump and filter in there for the fuel injection !

Aye, that's what worries me. The tank and associated bits will be sold under a single spare part number! ??? Cynical sod! :-X
Night night, Bill.

Having had a original '76 XT500 and then a '78 model with an alloy tank and big bore I have to say I have a soft spot for this model. The above looks great I must say.
IMHO Yamaha over the years have had a good eye for styling{ with the occasional hiccup } and this shows they are continuing.

Oberdan Bezzi is quite a prolific designer, but very few, if any of the designs see the light of day, there's more on his blog here- http://motosketches.blogspot.com/
Nice for ideas.
Jethro, you'll be loving it when I bring the DR/SR down for MoT...
-
That is one VERY good looking bike! :o
Is it going into production or just a 'concept' bike?...If it is going into production then Well done Yamaha!!
It's nice to see that it's still possible to make a good looking bike with all the restriction that emission regulations dictate.

I knew it was going to fail anyway, and said the same to your man on the phone, back end's done, waiting to see if I can get a part worn for the back. Nice to meet you.
What's your policy on free breathing thumpers? ;D

Well...if it sounds distinctive....no problem !
So long as the pipe doesnt say "Race Use Only"/"Not For Road Use" or words to that effect, and its not taking the piss too much.
