Given my impending change of steed, I thought I would do some research and found this site.
I'm a bit concerned.
Is this the sort of thing one gets up to on a Royal Enfield :o
It's a bit racy :o

Like no Enfield rider I have ever met. Steffan will be breathing a sigh of relief on that score. Jethro possibly not though (I think he may be pencilled in for a future episode, having been attracted by the chance of wearing a basque).
What is that about then ?
Richard
PS. At last, a link to a supplier of nipple tassels.........

Fantastic. I may even be converted to trying to ride a British bike.

" I'm a bit concerned.

Only when you're not covered in oil or grease fixing something or other, or wiring back on something that has fallen off - I lost the internals to an airbox once; and not just any internals these were posh Hitchcocks internals.
"It's a bit racy"
Not a word one would usually associate with Enfields - well not with a straight face - and not for long unless you are desperate to speak to Mr conrod
Steffan
Am I starting to sound bitter?
-
Yes you are.
Should I reconsider Steffan?
On a serious note, spoke to Hitchcocks today. They confirm basques are available to order though they state that some of the metalwork will need repainting prior to fitting.

Mind you do not get one of the Basques that have been found in Portugal, they have been contaminated with fertiliser, sugar etc and unless really well cleaned will get you interest from some of the Police doggies as you try to pass through customsen-route to INdia to pick up the Enfield from the factory gate (saving 2700 Rupees)
