... and following in GC's steps, anyone got a good internet Yamaha parts dealer?? The XT will be my first Yam since my FS1E back in 1980!

You know, I've had many different bikes over the years but I've never owned a Yamaha! ..Odd!

Hi,
I am an avid XT owner and also a moderator on www.yamaha-xt500.com. For parts I have always found Wemoto a good source for XT parts. Some of the other guys have already mentioned some others.
If there is anything particular you are after let me know and I can put the feelers out a lot of guys I know on the forum havespare parts.

If you want genuine Yamaha parts Fowlers provide a good service, and stock most parts, their postage charges can be a bit steep though.

Aye Pat,
Fowlers of Bristol or Flitwick Motorcycles, the latter is owned and run by Steve Linsdell of RE Bullet 350 fame around the Island, the hub steering Yamaha 1000 round the Island and latterly Paton 500 twin along with son Ollie round the Island. Bit of sponsoring! ;)
Keep pedalling, your not up to Obree or Hoy standards yet! ;)
Toodle pip, Bill.
