I have unfortunately punctured my radiator on the Honda Silverwing. It looks like some sort of aluminium alloy but I am no expert in this as it could also be some sort of plating over the copper or base metal. The dull silver sheen almost looks like a galvanised finish. I was hoping to silver solder over the puncture, or use some of that metal based bog.
Any ideas would be welcome.
Thanks

im fairly sure its an ally rad on the silverwing. try scraping the metal with a knife, to see if its tinned copper or brass, but im fairly sure its ally. you tried that lumiweld stuff, its a bit like a solder for aluminium, ok, its not really a solder, talking in a purely metalurgical sense, but it can be used like a solder to seal holes, build up threads etc.
