Well after the recommendations a few of you gave me whilst in the mud at Llanthony last weekend I have bought myself another pair of boots, I followed a pair of Jolly boots on ebay but they reached mid £80 so ended up with a pair of waterproof Altberg field and fell boots.

Aye Mark,
They'll do fine, keep the dubbin to them! ;)
Regards, Bill.

Have used a pair of Altberg boots for a good few years now (clubman?)
Excellent kit and once they finally bite the dust I'll be back to them for the replacement.
Mind you, they did take a couple of years to get *really* comfy... ;)

But don't use Dubbin, it will eventually rot the stitching. Go with Altbergs recommended Leder Gris or at a push Nikwax.

Kiwi Wet Proof is good as well.
Nice to see you have gone with the Altbergs, Mark.
Don't forget the factory will rebuild them when they wear out for a pifling £50.
Rob.

Aye Richard,
That's what I meant, Leder Gris! Thank you for refreshing an addled swede! ;D
