Title: Another newbie
Post by: tj63 on May 05, 2009, 11:49:56 AM
Hello all

My name's Trevor and I have just bought a fully restored SRX-400, so I thought I'd join the Club.

Hope to meet some of you in Uttoxeter come July - it's not far from where I live in NE Derbyshire.

Cheers

Trevor

When you say 'join the club' you obviously know something we don't as we are all freeloading at the moment. If you sent your money to an African Prince, or Graham Carrick for that matter, you won't ever see a membership card or newsletter - which might be a blessing in disguise.

Leave now while you still have the chance or will to do so. Once you get sucked into this nonsense there is no turning back. I don't even own a Thumper and only got involved thinking it was some meeting place for single people looking for fun. How wrong I was, it's mostly full of dull married types* except for SteveD, who thinks it really is a singles club, and the gay blade Jethro!

So if after all this cobblers you decide to stay 'Good Luck' I'm off!

Boyd

* er......that'd be me then!

I Say !......HELLLOOOOOO !
From The Gay Blade Himself as opposed to Sumo Man with dodgy 6v electrics on his traveling Vibrating Massager.

I thought this was a club for singles with a fetish ?
Or is it for those with a fetish for singles ?

Anyway nothing is taken too seriously here wecome to the fold Trevor.

Here's the lovely shiny SRX-4 (which was a prize-winner at the Donington show last weekend)  :D:

Lovely bike Trevor.

Did I see that beauty on show at Stafford last October or is it my imagination?

I think you probably did, Andy.

Ian who did the restoration certainly had it at one of the shows last year.  It should have been even shinier then, as I think he only finished it in September.

If you're committed to Pork pies and beer in unhealthy amounts I am sure you will manage that predicate before long.

Good luck

I'll have to get up to Llanthony and try it out. Thinking of going up there in the next couple of weeks with a few mates to try it out as I've read so much about it on this forum.

Is it just the one campsite there? I can't miss it can I?

The campsite is right in front of the Priory - you shouldn't miss it. The better pub is actually in the basement of the Priory, the other place 'The Half Moon' (?) is not as good either for beer or food imho!

Enjoy........
