Or does anyone else have a strange fascination with Panthers.
Seeing this sort of picture doesn't help

They're just so quirky and... and... chunky :)
Trouble is the prices are creeping up.

You bet.
My biggest regret not paying the £325 the guy wanted for one. 22 years gone by and still kicking myself.

Yep, recognised the Briggs. One the same was recently listed on Ebay. Nice chairs, imho.

I once had a Panther with a Villiers 2T engine and Earles forks.I don't suppose it qualifies as a "proper" Panther. I wonder why they didn't put Earles forks on the sidecar models???It went well enough, but if stopped when hot,I had to leave it cool off before it would restart.

Friend down the road has a Panther and Chair in the shed - he is hoping for a job in St Helena, so should I help him out?

Aaaaah the mythical dream sidecar outfit in a shed... I never get near anything like that. I recently chased up some 'old' bikes that were stored at the bike of a nursing home. Turned out to be an Aprillia scooter and that nasty custom version of the VT500, both with knackered ignition barrels ::)

I periodically have bouts of it but never with a chair and having to do some "should be simple" service type work on the Bullet usually puts pay to that.
