Now any sensible chap would have routed the exhaust through the handlebar clamps and done away with the heated grips.

Do I win a prize for the most useful Norton mod. ?

Pat, it won't need a top box as it has those very handy compartments in the fairing similar to a GoldWing. And a radio!

I like the sound of it too!!   :D

I've been in a dyno testing room and know they are LOUD and that was for CBR400 with a standard exhaust, so I was mightily confused as to why so many people in the video were not wearing ear protection !?!  :o  Is it a manly thing to do that? If so, I'm a mouse (that can still hear).

That is impressive. Love the exhaust glow. There was always problems deciding what cc these are and I guess it Will stop it form certain races. The complaint when Ron Haslam and Robert Dunlop raced them was lack of engine braking so had to learn a new riding style.
Says in MCN that its reeving to 11,500 and they say that another 2000  plus will be available as soon an they have crank bearings to stand it.

11500 rpm = 34500 firings per min per rotor?

Now Dorna want to make MotoGP2 a one engine class - probably at the behest of Honda, so they can press for MotoGP to be one engine - ie Honda - so they can start willing again - so how about a grid full of Rotarys?  Now that should sound good and be totally disconnected from the real world so perfect for a prototype class.

As an aside I think Dorna's idea to make MotoGP2 a one engine class stinks, the current rule changes in F1 have made it more interesting than MotoGP, do you think Bernie Ecclestone is behind the rules in motorcycle racing in an attempt to kill it off as a spectator sport?

My XT250 exhaust used to glow like that at night.
