Title: Hi everyone - new Goose owner
Post by: Majik on March 11, 2009, 11:46:31 AM
Hi guys and gals.

Former SZR660 owner (from new), and I'm returning to singles riding when I saw a Suzuki Goose in pretty good nick up for sale down south. Good grief, finding onfo on these things is abugger. As such, I've set up a wee webpage (which is more like a blog at the moment) and I'm hoping to fill it with all sorts of brilliant technical information, and become somewhere for frustrated Goose owners to go to.

I also own an FZX750, and a Katana 750. I pick the Goose up on Sunday and can't wait :)

Yeah....welcome
I very nearly bought a Goose several years ago (a grey import, i think they all are), but common sense ruled, when I tried to find info on it....so went the srx route....but i had it for a weekend, and it was great fun. Good luck on the search for data

The motor in the Goose is said to be a good 'un. I was very tempted by one myself.

Which Goose is it, faired or unfaired? I think they are a lovely looking bike, but a lot of people are put off by the capacity.

I know of one near here laying unused and unloved... I'm keeping an eye on it  ;)

Any chance of some pictures?

Unfaired - I didn't realise there was a faired version from the factory. The only pics I have are from the advert I bought it from. Suffice to say once I've got her on Sunday and given her a really good clean (three-four hour ride back) I'll take some pics and throw them on here and on the website.

Anywho - pics of the bike:

Nice bike Majik, welcome to the club. You didn't happen to buy the Goose from Bat M/cs perchance?

Thanks man - no, it was a private sale. Hence I picked it up for a bargain (in my humble and skint opinion  ;D).

imhaso?

Could catch on  ;)

My favourite email abbreviation came via Ixion:
DAMHIKIJKOK  (I've had to return to this post to modify the spelling. What does it say when you can't even spell an abbreviation  ::))

It often came after a discussion about mechanical incompetence and disaster.

No, I give up, although I suspect the last three stand for 'spell that correctly'
